Peacock has announced that the second season of The Undeclared War will be released on August 27. It has been four years since the British thriller's freshman run.

Set in 2024, the series follows a leading team of analysts deep in the heart of GCHQ who secretly work to ward off a series of cyber-attacks on the UK in the run up to a general election. When a routine stress test of Internet infrastructure goes awry, 21-year-old intern Saara Parvan finds herself operating on the invisible frontier of high-stakes cyber warfare. In a thrilling game of cat and mouse, Saara and the team fight to stay one step ahead of their opponents' every hidden move.

Season 2 returns with a fresh wave of tension and drama as the elite Malware Department at GCHQ grapples with the aftermath of a devastating Russian cyber-attack. Just when it seems the UK has gained the upper hand, Danny and his team discover a mole in their midst and uncover a far more dangerous threat.
