Netflix announced today that America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders has been renewed for a fourth season. The news comes two months after the docuseries released its third season on the streaming service, where it spent two weeks in the Global Top 10, reaching the Top 10 in 22 countries.
"Every season we get a little further past the performance and closer to the person," said director & executive producer Greg Whiteley. "What excites me is more than just who makes the team - it's what these women are willing to explore and let viewers see along their journey. That kind of trust takes years and I'm grateful we get another season to tell their stories."
"Each new season is another opportunity to showcase the extraordinary talent, dedication and individuality of our team," said DCC Senior Director Kelli Finglass. "We're proud to continue to share their stories and artistry with audiences, inspiring the next generation of young performers all over the world to dream big and pursue their passions."
The show gives viewers unfiltered access into the iconic Dallas Cowboys team and franchise, with each season focusing on the previous year's cheerleaders squad from the first auditions and training camp, continuing all the way through the NFL season. Led by longtime director Kelli Finglass, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders open their doors to document the personal stories behind the uniforms - revealing the drive, hustle, and drama among the cheerleaders and coaches.
