CBS announced today that Undercover Boss is coming back for a 12th season. It has been over four years since the workplace reality series last aired a new episode.
Billed as an updated version of the original, the new season will be hosted by Drew Carey and offer a refreshed take on a beloved format for today's audience. The main premise stays the same though, with corporate leaders going undercover within their own organizations to gain firsthand insight into their workforce and operations.
Based on the British series of the same name, Undercover Boss first debuted in 2010 and aired 136 episodes over 11 seasons. Season 12 is currently in pre-production, though a time frame for its return is not yet known.
