An action drama where an intelligence agent receives a "burn notice" while on assignment in Nigeria.
The title of the show refers to the notices issued by intelligence agencies to announce the dismissal of agents who are now deemed unreliable.
When Michael Westen receives one of these "burn notices" while on assignment, he is dropped in Miami to fend for himself with no money or credentials to his name.
In order to fund his investigation into who sabotaged him and why, Michael takes on work as a freelance private investigator.

My favorite tv show. I tape every show. When the show breaks after summer & season finales, I have that last season on tapes. Of course I have the first 4 seasons dvd sets. You would think I wouldn't miss my show since I'm always watching my dvd's and tapes but I do, especially after the season finale.....thats a long long wait. The closer we get to June, the longer the days get. Glad to hear there will be a season 6. I hope there will be many more. Love the show, love the characters, love the cast for bringing them to life & love Matt Nix for thinking about doing it, then did it. I have all 8 seasons of Monk dvd sets, would love to have at least as many Burn Notice's, or more.
