A science fiction drama that chronicles the arrival of a technologically advanced alien species on Earth which ostensibly comes in peace, but in reality has sinister motives.

The 2009 TV series of "V" is a re-imagining of the 1983 miniseries created by Kenneth Johnson.

Giant spaceships start to appear over dozens of major cities around the world. The extra-terrestrial "Visitors" claim that they come in peace and only need a small amount of Earth's resources, in exchange for which they will share their advanced technological and medical knowledge. When certain humans start to doubt their sincerity, an FBI counter-terrorism agent discovers that the aliens have spent decades infiltrating human governments, businesses, and religious institutions, and are now in the final stages of their plan to take over the Earth.

I could live with all of the other countlees cancelations of my favorite programs. On the other hand this is one of the only good shows left on the A.B.C. Network. There has been alot of talk about this show being cancelled and I am fine with that, just please to the executives of this network. Please don't start the idiotic practices of N.B.C. atleast have the decentsy to put a good ending to the show instead of leaving us the public hanging and unsatisfied. for this reason I and alot of my friends have stopped watching the N.B.C. stations. We all got tired of starting to watch a show and mid story they pull the show off the air with no warning or ending. I figure if they feel that little commitment to keep thier viewers satisfied and happy. That is the type of network we need to stay away from. So please on behalf of all of the timeless V fans we ask please bring it back and atleast give it a good ending, so that we stay as faithfull to you and your programing, as you are to our enjoyment and preferance to your product!!!

This show had So much promise and A loyal following. WHY cancel this and keep idiotic reality shows? I am baffled. No wonder network TV is falling apart. They are out of touch.

I was disgusted to hear about this show being cancelled just when it was getting really interesting. We were seeing more and more of what the V were really up to and I had so many questions - what is Anna's ultimate plan? Will anyone manage to wake up the world and stop her in time? What was the story with the government center underground that Erica had stumbled onto? Would there be a war like in the 1984 mini-series? So many things we will never find out. And the special effects were good, too. Like so many others have said - the interesting shows get axed, the terrible ones are allowed to continue.

I was floored when I heard that "V" was cancelled! I watched that show without fail when I was growing up and was so delighted when ABC annouced it on their line up. I guess I should have seen the signs when ABC stop putting the full episoides on their web site and only give you 2 mins recap. Please Please SyFy pick "V" up!!!!

I agree with the majority of shows that were cancelled but "V" have been given at least one more season.
