A procedural drama following a Chicago detective who leaves his hometown and moves to Florida.
Jim Longworth is Chicago detective who was falsely accused of sleeping with his captains wife. Because of this, he takes a new job in South Florida with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement - hoping to find a more relaxing lifestyle. He soon discovers that things are more complicated than he thought.

I Love this show, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Jim and Callie love story. I think that having a female character taht is more dedicated to building a life for herself and her son than being foolish for love is a great thing for young women to see. That you can be open to love and een be in love without losing yourself in it to t point where someone feels like they had to give up something in order to heve companionship. I think they have a loving respectful relationship where they both can pursue their dreams nd passions and that is beautiful.

I actually love the Jim and Callie romance... I love everything about it and i dont think they should change anything. Callie is perfectly fine and i love the new side of Jim. I dont care if you disagree... i enjoy the show just the way it is.

Totally agree on the Callie thing. Jim is so entertaining alone, with Carlos as his sidekick. Put wah! wah! Callie in the mix, it gets slippery. So happy when I thought she was leaving the show. Now. . .Plus, we need more of the Everglades. The show is set there, so why don't we see more of the outdoor settings? I'm sure a whole lot of bad things happen in that swamp.

This show has become an absolute train wreck! The Callie storyline is not only weak, it's downright ridiculous. The first season, she was a whiny full-time nurse who was also in med school; plus she was married to a career criminal who was currently in prison, yet according to her, she was sanctimonious and pure (right!), this even though she was married and had started carrying on with Jim. Next she became a whiny full-time coroner's assistant who got a free ride to a different med school (this one in Atlanta) with only one phone call from Carlos! (He must have known where a body was buried or something worse! Get real!) So Callie promptly dumped her son with a relative and hardly ever mentions him again, much less sees him, even though she considers herself to be the mother-of-the-year, and she headed for Atlanta (raising our hopes that she was being written out of the show). But alas, that isn't the case; Jim now has to suffer a long-distance relationship with this whiny woman. We can no longer bear to watch this show because of Callie--the stupidest character ever created! What are the writers thinking?!!!
