A sci-fi drama depicting a time when all life on Earth is on the brink of extinction.
The year is 2149, and it is a time when all life on planet Earth is threatened with extinction. In an attempt to save the human race, scientists create a portal that allows people to time travel back 85 million years.
Groups of settlers travel across this 'temporal doorway' to a place called 'Terra Nova', which is the first human colony on the other side. However, unbeknownst to the settlers is the fact that their colony is in the midst of carnivorous dinosaurs.

As I understand it, the show made money and was unique too. And for a show to be slotted on Monday nights against MNF and still make money ... then get canceled??? Seriously!!! Shows are slotted on Monday Night as a graveyard slot and you have a Sci-Fi success in it's first year too??? WTH is wrong with TV execs that don't understand a deep desire for good quality Sci-Fi TV Shows (we want a form of escape TV that isn't based on scripted "Reality" TV series, game shows and hour long news exposes that can be summarized in 5 minutes or less).

NEED TO REALLY RECONCIDER!!!!!! Really a great show----love it---loved the cast---the dino's---story line everything----just a shame they cancell a good clean family show----so much better than a lot of other shows you are leaving on the air-----

Yeah!!! Terra Nova was a hit from day one, then some smart aleck exec at FOX decided it should be replaced by yet another stupid sit-com. Oh, I know why. Because TN was a family show that required a brain to understand.Way to go, FOX!!! Keep feeding us that crap and pretty soon you'll have only a few hundred idiots watching your network programs.

This was a great show. One that my son, daughter and myself could all sit down and watch together. Too bad.

i have netflix and it seems that they put all of the bad shows on and the ones that are good are cancled i just got in to it and now its canceld but they did have to cancel it because the pilot alone cosed over 2 million $

Fox should be cancelled too. Seems like they lose more good shows and keep the bad ones now. I had more shows being taped on Fox than any other. Now I cancelled them from my favorite settings on my remote. BRING BACK THE GOOD SHOWS!!!

I thought this was a great show and FOX didn't even finish the story well. At least you could finish the story so we have closure. I DVR'ed this every week it was on. So much better than the old aging no changing bones story line. My husband and I rarely see eye to eye on a show and we both liked this one together.
