Fox has decided not to proceed with a second season of science fiction series Terra Nova, effectively canceling the struggling show. 20th Century Fox studios, which produces the series, is keeping a small amount of hope alive by attempting to shop it to other networks, but chances of a pick-up appear slim at this point.
Terra Nova's cancellation was somewhat expected, given its mediocre ratings and hefty production costs. Fox has also recently filled up its roster of dramas with new high profile shows Alcatraz and Touch, which they expect will outperform the cancelled dinosaur drama.

At age 60 it would be nice to have more than 3 shows weekly to watch on prime time. Terra Nova will go by way of Star Trek boo boo done years ago by another network. That's the problem with network thinking (that is IF they do any thinking).

The person that canceled this show is probably dumber than a bag of rocks. Everyone I knew was watching it. This show even brought back a few friends I know who have not watched TV shows in over a decade.

LOVED THIS SHOW TOO - and you failed with Alcatraz - you are fools - Hopefully not too dumb to cancell Touch but hey it has no nudity or foul language so half your audience I guess won't understand it ! But I stand for the other half of your audience who wants all these family and intelligent shows - DO BETTER

I really liked this show! Take a look at the shows that replaced it and were cancelled almost immediately, Bet they wished they had waited and maybe supported it. I really don't get it, why do the networks end the shows so quickly. I can't think of the shows off the top of my head but some of the bigger more successful shows struggled at first but they gained traction and support of their networks and made it. Too bad because it was pretty damn good!

This show needs to continue the plot was only just starting to develop. Some good episodes, good characters and good new dinosaurs! One does hope that syfy channel getaway chance to show it.

The funy thing is I don't know anyone who watches touch or Alcatraz and I would much prefer Terra Nova to be the show that comes out #1 I think it's all in the advertising. But what do I know!
