A drama following a man caught between two realities.
Since his car accident, detective Michael Britten's mind has created two realities in which his wife survived in one and his son survived in the other. At any given moment, he is not sure if he is awake or asleep - one minute he's awake with his wife, and at the blink of an eye he is awake with his son. With people in both realities assuring him he is not dreaming, he must now try and find out which reality - if any - is real.

I love this show. It is unique and the cast is well assembled. I hope you will reconsider and let the mystery continue.

Cool concept, cool show, Jason Isaacs plays a cool character and NBC cancels the show. Brilliant.

What a waste. If network TV keeps telling people over the age of 21 who don't watch reality TV that their opinions don't matter...we will simply stop watching. They cancel every show that is different, unique or God forbid...thought provoking.

I have gotten where I hate watching TV...every time you really like a show like AWAKE it gets canceled with no warning...you need to wake up and learn what people like to watch

I don't understand TV marketing. Awake was one of the most original shows on non-cable television. The acting, writing, and story line were better than anything else. In fact, as an infrequent television viewer, Awake was the only non-cable show I would watch. Even though Awake experienced declining viewership, it appears the fans were loyal viewers. If nothing else, NBC should of viewed Awake as an opportunity to target a niche, science fiction market. After all, how many other shows on television offer a particularly distinct segment of the TV market. What a waste!
