A musical drama following the creation of a new Broadway show.
In Smash, a writing duo come up with the idea to base a new stage show on Marilyn Monroe. In competition for the role of the iconic lead are an experienced chorus girl and a promising newcomer.

Smash is a wonderful, fascinating show with a great cast. It saddens me to think it won't be waiting for me each week - it's one of my very favorite shows, and I often watch each episode more than once (yes, I DVR it to make sure I don't miss it! even if I'm watching it at the time!). PLEASE don't cancel SMASH!!!!!

I LOVE SMASH!I watched it since the beginning and can't imagine how much I will miss it - knowing I WILL MISS IT!
It is creative and sexy and the music is as great as the talent that performs it!

Every time there is a great show, it always gets cancelled...why o why did you have to cancel SMASH??? Loved that show.... :(

I can't believe that NBC cancelled one of the only shows worth watching!!!! Just a shame. Some things are more important than ratings!!!!

I'm really upset about it being cancelled. It's the best TV Show I've ever seen. #KeepSmashing #SaveOurSmash I am gonna miss this so much. Seriously, get rid of all lame reality shows and just have this on 24/7. That would be awesome! #WeWantSmash

This show deserves another chance, if not on NBC, then on another network. SMASH should be saved as a mid-season replacement. NBC must know one of their new shows will not make it, and then there will be room for SMASH to return.

What can I even begin to say about how much Smash means to me? As a current dance minor which a huge love for musical theater Smash has given me so much inspiration week after week to keep trying, pursuing my art and my passion no matter what. And I know many others like me feel the same. Smash was always a hugely popular topic of conversation among other dance and theater kids at my school. I really think canceling it is a HUGE mistake.
