A musical drama following the creation of a new Broadway show.
In Smash, a writing duo come up with the idea to base a new stage show on Marilyn Monroe. In competition for the role of the iconic lead are an experienced chorus girl and a promising newcomer.

PLEASE do not cancel this show!!! It's amazing and there's not really anything else like on tv. I love all the original songs from Bomshell and Hit List! Just think of all the hard work that goes into writing and recording those songs, and choreographing and filming scenes. It's definetly come a long way since the beginning, so please don't cancel it before we see just how far it can really go. My dream would be for Bombshell and Hit List to make it to Broadway where viewers of Smash can see them come to life!

Finally a show that those of us who love the arts and musical theater can enjoy -- thank you, thank you -- there are WAY TOO MANY stupid reality shows on TV -- let some of us escape into the fictional world of dance and song.

I don't normally watch musicals but i love this show, even my mum loves it. I think Ivy would make the best Marilyn. We are just finishing up the first season in Australia and i can't wait for the next season.

Love this show!!!!!! Never did care for musicals so I can't believe that I am so into smash. Great acting & the best show out there!!!! Magnificent NBC!!!!!

LOVE this show! Sick reality shows and don't need another friggin cop/lawyer/shoot-em up show. THANK YOU for coming up with something different and enjoyable. Keep it going!

I love Smash!!! It is a fabulous show! Full of amazing talent in so many ways and the plot line is fun, especially given the timing of the 50th anniversary of Marylin's death. It takes a very good show for my husband to become a fan and he loves it! Please DON'T cancel this show!!! I am so tired of watching a new tv show and to learn that it will be cancelled just as I am hooked.
