Tolly, even though you are entitled to your opinion are we talking about the same program, Smash? I think it is great. Well, acted fun and funny! Really happy to see it coming back next year!

The acting is terrible. Not worth watching, it is a waste of TV time.

I actually really like this show. I'm not big into musical theatre, and find Glee super annoying, but this show is pretty entertaining with solid acting. I had doubts about Katherine McPhee, but she's actually pretty good. I hope it sticks around :)

Smash is a great relief from so called "reality" shows. Smash actually displays solid talent and acting...and its on television! Broadway has always and will always be a dream to millions of aspiring souls. Tap into that audience...give it a decent time slot. Writers should be a little bolder and a perhaps a bit more cut-throat. Show a broader view of behind the scenes action of broadway shows and chat up the reality of competition.
BUT...above all...give it a chance. There are so few interesting shows airing that an audience can be swept away from their own reality for just an hour.

This show is going to drop like a rock, mark my words. Same old tired ass story lines, pathetic.

Great great show, got right into on episode. Personally I think it should air on a sunday night. Not sure what US channel it airs on but here in Canada we get it on CTV so once Desperate Housewives it done they could easily switch it to that time slot it would be perfect sunday evening viewing.
