A procedural drama following a man who uses his unique gift to help others recover what they've lost.
Walter is a war veteran who has a reputation as being adept at tracking down insurgents, deserters, and improvised explosive devices. Unfortunately, Walter found one device a little too late, causing him to injured so badly that he lapsed into a coma for two months from the brain damage he incurred.
When Walter woke from his coma, he was honorably discharged and returned home. With his life is now dramatically different than before his accident, he discovers that his brain damage has transformed him from someone skilled at recovering things into something extraordinary: a Finder.

WRITE FOX! This has saved shows in the past. Fox can't expect amazing ratings for a new series on a Friday night. I discovered the show later in the season. I think it would really appeal to 18 to 30-somethings, but much of this age group don't watch TV on Fridays.

So, Walter is being wrestled to the floor by cops after finding his mother - who starred in 1975's SMILE - and the show closes with the gypsy girl hitchhiking into the sunset.
Once again, FOX hamstrings us, FOX clotheslines us, FOX tummy punches us, and expects us to just take it. FOX insults its audience. It's like purchasing and reading a book and discovering the author left the last two thirds of the book out.
Did we really get to find out what all was in Walter's safe? No. And we never will. Thank you, FOX.
The Finder was great. There was a rumor that Bruce Dern was going to appear in an episode in Season Two. And I, for one, was looking forward to that.

I am shocked and thoroughly dissatisfied with Fox's decision to cancel The Finder. Everyone I know, including my family truly enjoys watching this show. A favorite in several years. So disappointing, Fox tv!

What a major mistake...I don't know who you get your data from to make the dicision to cancel a show but the finder is one of the best shows I have seen in years. It is a good family show appealing to all ages...my grandchildren and I really looked forward to our popcorn and the Finder!

The Finder is one of the best new shows in recent years. Canceling it reaffirms my belief that there is nothing of value on tv. There has never been a show like it. I believe they should reconsider the stupid shows that they have renewed and cancel them and keep The Finder.
