An archangel named Michael chooses to side with humanity and turn against his own kind, joining the fight for the humans' survival.
Out of this long battle come newly fortified cities that protect the human survivors. The city of Vega is an empire that has formed from the ruins of what used to be Las Vegas.

Exceptional show. The first few episodes of season 1 focused the humans of Vega which bogged the episodes down. The second season has been an fantastic mix. I now love this show even more than The Walking Dead.

The levels of meaning in the story-lines, the alliances, betrayals and biblical ties make this show truly addicting. I hope that the show continues as it opens and explores the many sides of humanity, setting it in context with that of the "older" angels and the "newer" lower beings - how we compare, how we treat those less than us, exposing motives, mistakes and learnings as a race.

Outstanding show! I can think of several story lines that could easily keep it alive for multiple seasons. And to William who posted on 09-01-14, do you really think that everybody who has commented positively works for the show? Do you work for the show? No? Then you have no reason to believe that the rest of us do either.

Most shows on the air today are commercial fair. Studios are in business to make money after all. For years Syfy has been the light in the dark night for its adherents. Yes it also must make a profit for its doors to stay open. I wish we had a BBC1 for America. Doctor Who is around today because it has had time to develop a huge audience. Dominion could get bigger if the reviewers were geeks. It is classic geek fair, complex plot twists, fantastical supernatural notions, and of course great special effects.
