A comic crime drama following an offensive, but brilliant, detective returned from exile to run a special crime unit.
Lieutenant Everett Backstrom is an unhealthy and offensive detective who is brought back from a five year exile to head Portland Police Bureau's Special Crimes Unit. Tasked with working the city's most serious cases, Backstrom utilizes his dark instincts and odd abilities to solve crimes while trying to improve his own self-destructive behavior.

Whenever there is actually a show worth watching it gets canceled. Leave singing, dancing, racing across the country shows, but get rid of the ones like Backstrom that really has talented PEOPLE and a great story line!! Way to go again FOX!!!!!

Please keep Backstrom and get rid of all those lousy singing variety shows! Backstrom is a great show with a lot of great actors and interesting plots. Fox, listen to the people on this one!!!!! Matt M.

As usual Fox is canceling a great show, Backstrom, I love this show, I hope a cable station will pick this show up. Raine is perfect for this role. Please someone pick this show up

Why did Fox cancel Backstrom, I love this show, it is one of the best shows on tv. I hope Raine will try to get a cable station to pick it up. As usual, Fox just cancels and leaves us hanging, I hope a cable station will see how great this show is.

Always. Any show with substance gets axed. This show deserves a cable pick up. Yes it is dark and gritty it is incredibly interesting and compelling. I am praying cable picks this up! I hope Rainn pushes for that!!!

My wife and I love Backstrom. It is only one of two that we are crazy about of the new shows. Please don't cancel it.

I knew Backstrom would be cancelled. I just finished binge watching. It was too good and interestingly dark. Rainn Wilson has reason to be proud.

I love Backstrom. I am really hoping for season 2. I don't watch a lot of shows, but this one is great, probably my favorite of the year. Please don't cancel!!!!

Other websites are showing Backstrom as having been cancelled. I rather enjoyed the show.
