A reality series following the life of a woman suffering from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
Whitney Thore is an average girl from a small town in North Carolina. She was once a slender dancer but during college unexpectedly gained 200 pounds over the course of a single year due to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
It took Whitney quite some time to deal with the life-changing effects of her condition, but now she is content with her body and has a fresh outlook on life.
Currently living with her parents, Whitney is getting prepared to venture out on her own and claim her independence in a world that judges people by their size.

Please renew my big fat fabulous life!!! Whitney is a doll and her show is quality. She is kind and funny and her parents and friends are wonderful. Her mom, babs,mis so funny she could have her own show.

I love this show and not only Whitney but her friends and family. Please bring it back I want to see if Whitney adopts. I agree with the person that said if you don't like the show just turn the channel don't judge.

I absolutely love this show, and everyone in it. Whitney is how a person who everyone should strive to be like. She is a loyal, kind, supportive friend to all, not to mention incredible towards her parents. Hate to see the season end. Hope it returns. If not, I wish the very best for Whitney. She will be a great Mom!

Whitney, you are great, i love love the show. I watch an think I should jump in the car an come down as I am in Richmond Va. Yeah just up the road a bit. But what I want to know have you ever given thought to your own BGDC clothing line ? I love some of the things you wear. If you shop where do you shop, if it cost an arm n a leg I can't afford it so please think of doing your own line. If ya do I would LOVE to help design the clothes for us bigger ladies.

I agree with Brian in above comment. I started watching this show out of curiousity. Here is this plus sized girl doing all these tough dance routines. However after watching a few shows (3 just yesterday) I've determined its just another reality show with created drama. cheating? heartbreak? It happens.

I love this show an the people in it...i hope you bring it back...Whitney is a Beautiful person...people shouldn't judge her or her actions..shes human...judge your own life..
