A political drama following a Cabinet member who is appointed President after a deadly attack on the Capitol.
After a deadly explosion kills the President and members of the Cabinet on the night of the State of the Union address, the nation is suddenly left without a Commander in Chief.
Tom Kirkman, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, had been named the designated survivor and is therefore the next in the chain of command. He is promptly sworn in as President, though he has no way of knowing that the catastrophic attack was only the beginning of a much larger plan.

Can't believe that you have cancelled this show!! This is why I have quit watching ABC. Guess it is back to CBS for me. (I wish I could fire the execs at ABC!)

No. No. No please don't cancel DS I love it. Never been a fan of Kiefers, just watched the first episode b/c the trailer looked very interesting. I was hooked the 1st episode and never, ever missed one . Within about 3 to 4 weeks I was totally in love with Kiefer or Jack Kirkman (not sure which LOL)Loved Maggie Q's kick ass Hannah Wells too. PLs give it another chance PLEASE!!! I heard Netflix may pick it up. I wld definitely subscribe just for this one show. Please reconsider.

OMG !!! I really can't believe you cancelled this show. After 24 I thought Kiefer would have a huge fan base. I wasn't even a fan. I just thought it had an interesting plot and I fell totally in love with Kiefer or Tom Kirkman (not sure which_LOL) He really grew into this role. My favorite favorite show. Please give it another season, it got better and better all the time. PLEASE ! I heard Netflix may pick it up. I would definitely subscribe JUST to see this show.t

I just knew it was to be cancelled after watching the finale of S02.
The last episode gave a number of Hooks for 3rd Season, like what Emilly did with the russian agent, President's candidacy for next election, and his call with the AG.
If ABC cancelled it for good, I hope some other Channel will pick it up later on.
