Can’t believe nbc canceled an intriguing show like Debris and picked this show up. I give it 3 episodes tops.

I too was disappointed when Terra Nova was canceled but the bad writing and execution of outsider group of people cheapened it.
I'll start watching La Brea but the story, like many nowadays, seems like it was conceived by an automated random plot generator. Frozen trains and now landing in a primitive society through a sinkhole - cringe worthy ideas to say the least. I have little problem using my imagination, except when it goes out it's way to be stupid or repeats the same thing, over and over and over again.

Hmmm…Terra Nova Had 9 million viewers an episode but the network said they needed 11 million an episode so it got cancelled after one season, crushing Steven Spielberg who couldn’t believe it got cancelled. It will again cost too much money and get cancelled.

So they cancel Debris, and we get this ... thing. I love SciFi, but think I'll wait till after the first season.

I'm not even sure why NBC bothers anymore. Its track record for sci-fi shows that focus around a single mystery is terrible. This show seems interesting and I will give it a chance, but it will more than likely be canceled after one season just like Debris. There's one every season and NBC keeps trying and failing.

So Terra Nova in reverse. Why didn't they just renew Terra Nova, a high rated show they cancelled after one season.
