Guns and Gangs Detective Sam Wazowski and Drug Squad Detective Kelly Duff are two Toronto cops who meet by chance during a takedown where they are pursuing the same target.

Each is a hero in their own particular way, but they could not disagree more on their crime-fighting strategies. What they do share in common is that off the clock, they're both dealing with loneliness, dysfunctional families, problematic love lives, and a sense that their professional ambitions may not match up with their personal needs.

They may drive each other crazy, but their friendship helps bring balance to each of their lives.
