A drama following an American journalist who moves to Tokyo and descends into the world of the yakuza.
In the late 1990s, American journalist Jake Adelstein relocates from Missouri to Tokyo to join the staff of a major Japanese newspaper on the Metropolitan Police beat as their first foreign-born reporter.
He is taken under the wing of a veteran detective in the vice squad, and begins exploring the dark and dangerous world of the Japanese yakuza in the underbelly of Tokyo.
Loosely inspired by the 2009 book of the same name by Jake Adelstein.

Great show. Slow start but stick with it. They have to set things up. I hope it gets renewed. Season 2 is out, but watch season 1 first.
