NBC has picked up its Friday night drama for Season 2.
March 16, 2012
NBC has reportedly given Grimm a second season renewal. That is good news for fans of the freshman fantasy drama, given as how other new dramas on the network have not fared as well this season. Shows like The Playboy Club and Prime Suspect have already fallen by the wayside.
Grimm, however, has been pulling in solid enough ratings on Friday nights for NBC to give it a shot at another season. Its numbers have also remained rather steady over the course of its run rather than suffering from the ratings decline that many shows see as the season wears on. Grimm's average is hovering around a 1.6 in the adults 18-49 demographic, which isn't bad for a Friday night series.

there are plenty of stories and fairy tales out there that should keep this extremely entertaining show on the air for a long time. Or maybe not... like that show NBC cancelled in 1968, I believe it was called " STAR TREK "

I'm so Glad Bones is back but wonder if this will be the last. The end of this first episode is so unlike most of what we're use too. She just gave birth and everyone is there with champagne to welcome them home and the baby is passed off to Angela, Where Was Michael, with the sitter.
Super Glad to see The Glades is coming back and Grimm is getting a second season, Love both of them!!!

I actually look forward to this show all week. Love it. The supporting cast is amazing, and no, I have no problem looking at a gorgeous anti-hero for 60 minutes a week.

Thank you! Not since I was a kid watching The Twilight Zone have I looked forward to a Friday night show this much, eager for that thrilling little chill. Not that they share a common style, but both shows reach deep into primal fears. I start getting chills at the opening of Grimm w/ the forest setting & the classic fairy tale script on the screen. It's like being a child paused wide-eyed in anticipation of being frightened by tales of monsters & things that might go bump in the night. And I LOVE the twists in Grimm, like our favorite vegetarian blut bot (sp?), and the injection of humor interweaving w/ the possiblilty of terror hovering behind any human face. Grimm has the potential to be a cult fave adding new creatures each week w/ their German-based names. Not unlike Star Trek introducing new aliens w/ their own languages & special abilities. Please don't give in to the trend in gore & extreme special effects. Just tell a good story. Like the Grimms!
