The Queen Latifah drama will be back this fall.
April 25, 2024
CBS announced today that The Equalizer has been picked up for a fifth season. The news comes with four episodes remaining in Season 4. The series recently reached the 50-episode milestone and continues to rank as a top 10 primetime broadcast drama.
"The Equalizer, led by the incomparable Queen Latifah, has all the best elements of a powerful drama," said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. "The series is stacked with suspense, heroism, high stakes and formidable characters our audience roots for. We look forward to another dynamic season."
The show follows an enigmatic single mother with a mysterious background who utilizes her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. Known as The Equalizer to a trusted few, she is an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who will stop at nothing in her pursuit of personal redemption.
Look for Season 5 of The Equalizer this fall as part of the 2024-2025 season.

I think this show survives only because of her popularity, because the writing is awful, the action sequences are still awful and the plot holes are huge. It' s gone away from the actual premise of the show really.
The woke Message it pushes constantly makes it unwatchable anymore.

Im surprised this is still going with four seasons. I saw maybe one or two episode of season one and then just quit.

Must have attracted a new audience. The equalizer has always been about a super-hero kick-ass avenger using their skills and talents to "even the score." This is how this show started, but now it's gone all: "let's talk about this" family drama. Blech!

Can it get more asinine? A black woman taking the law into her own hands and getting cheered on? Smells like Turgid Dick Wolf.

Good for her! I tried the show and didn’t care for it, but I like her as an actress, so it’s nice she’s had a long running hit.

I like her. The show is obviously doing well . Some stories are pretty leftist , others are not . So not terrible
