NBC announced this evening that Chicago Med has been renewed for a fourth season. The spin-off joins franchise-mates Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. in being picked up for the 2018-2019 season. The most-recent franchise entry, Chicago Justice, was canceled last year.
Chicago Med continues to draw solid numbers for the network on Tuesday nights, which it returned to this season after airing on Thursdays for its sophomore run. The third-season finale airs next week.
Following in the footsteps of Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D., Chicago Med focuses on the brave team of doctors and nurses that work at a hectic hospital in the Windy City. On a daily basis they tackle unique new cases while dealing with the drama of personal relationships.

No surprise it got renewed I personally think this one is crap Fire and PD are really good and its surviving on their coattails

I've noticed a lot of comments online from people losing interest in CM as they move away from medicine and focus on characters. I'm still fine with the content of the show with the exception of the "Dr. Reese falling apart" and the "Robin Charles/Connor Rhodes" storylines. I find Reese quite annoying, and while Robin had a semi interesting storyline, the parts that involved her live life, ie Rhodes, were also annoying.
This show is only in wrapping up season 3 so I hope they get it together before it goes the way of Chicago Justice.
