Discovery has ordered another season of the perilous crab fishing series.

Discovery is bringing back Deadliest Catch for an eighth season. The announcement was made today as the network unveiled its 2011-2012 upfront slate.
The series captures all the gripping action of one of the world's most dangerous jobs - Alaskan crab fishing. Season 7 kicked off earlier this week with a two-hour premiere on April 12.

OK so this show is the absolute best ever. i've seen the seasons 3 times lol. the next season needs to happen and when it does i'll be glued to the tv again :D

Deadliest Catch is my favorite reality show! I even watch the reruns when their marathons run. I have a lot of respect for the guys, doing that dangerous job. Can't wait til the next season starts!

cant wait for season 8. wish the cornelia marie was going out but am glad josh and jake will be back on the show would love to see them with sig or the hillstrands

I am like a little kid. When will April 2012 get here? I thought there were two seasons of fishing. I miss you guys. How about we let Phil Harris Rest in Peace now! Let the people recover and move on. I am counting the days! Stay strong guys and God Bless your families at home.

Can't wait for the new season. Disapointed the Cornillia Morie wont be out fishing with the other boats, however I am glad Josh and Jake fond another boat to work on and hope they are still in the show.

Outstanding show of realization without being there, I watch every episode as many time as possible. Wish you could show some of the episode's during the later months of the year.

Deadliest Catch will start in April 2012, The cornilia morie will not be in season 8, it is in dry dock being repaired by the owner. Jake and josh will be deck hands on other ships this season.
