Discovery Channel has announced that Deadliest Catch is coming back for an 18th season next month. The Emmy Award-winning series continues to a be a solid performer for the network after 17 years on the air, drawing top ratings in key demographics.
The perilous reality series captures all the gripping action of one of the world's most dangerous jobs - Alaskan crab fishing. In Season 18, the Alaskan government has shut down red king crab catching for the season. Facing financial ruin, each captain must start over and search the Bering Sea for a new way to make a living.
Season 18 of Deadliest Catch premieres on April 19.
