As expected, the superhero drama will not return.

ABC has cancelled No Ordinary Family along with six of its other shows in a barrage of moves by the network today. Also gone are Brothers & Sisters, V, Off the Map, Better With You, Mr. Sunshine, and Detroit 1-8-7.
The writing has been on the wall for quite some time regarding the superhero drama. After failing to impress in the ratings early in its run, the network cut No Ordinary Family's freshman season short in February, and even preempted its second-last new episode, only to air it on a Saturday with no promotion.
The final nail in the coffin came when its two lead stars signed on to new fall pilot shows on another network. Michael Chiklis booked a role on a new CBS comedy pilot called Vince Uncensored, while co-star Julie Benz joined an untitled CBS supernatural medical drama. The cast also took to Twitter after filming wrapped to say their final goodbyes.

wow super duper the reastion for them closeing the show is because thay have no hope for the fucher and so they wont have one . mark my lil words they will fall for this and not by me but by there mistakes sad for us and all who work for them

What can I say. Same sentiments as the others that watched the first season on Netflix. Sooooooo disappointed. Could they please show the other episodes they made and then make a finale for us. How rude of them!!!!!! If you cancel, you could at least give it a finale. I need closure. :(

I got to say when you watch the last episode you just wonder, whats going to happen next...All the bad guys end up with powers. If it is going to be more episodes I gurantee the ratings are going to go through the roof. For one they are leaving all true fans wondering, what going to happen next like I said in my previous comment..If I was ABC I would take some of the other shows off the air because all of them are about the same things, and thats who murdered who...That was one of the best shows I have seen on air in a long time....to ABC word of advice don't drop your money but keep in going..

I to am very disappointed with ABC for canceling season 2. i watched it on Netflix and i just fell in love with it, so when it finished i just wanted to see if season 2 was out or not and then i find out they cancelled it!! i believe that ABC should make season 2, because why didn't they just made the last episode like a closure? that was a total cliff hanger.

I am very disappointed in ABC for canceling this show. I too, watched the entire season on Netflix and couldn't stop watching it. Had I known it was such a great show and seen more promos, I would have watched it on ABC. I am dumbfounded as to why to why it wouldn't get a second chance.

i love this, i just finished watching the whole season on Netflix and come to find out that there is no other season, it sucks, are they coming out with more seasons or what? this is an awesome show.

I agree with Anna I just watched entire season and truely loved it I wish there was a season two because it ended with a serious hook Is there anything that is possible to fix this or no ?

I fell in love with this drama the moment I started watching them. I personally like genres like these and I was really dissapointed that ABC canceled season 2. I mean if they were going to cancel it then why did they have to make season 1 end like that! The real thing was coming and they just had to end it like that. The least thing they could have done was just make it end in a way that actually seems like an ending. I was surprised that the episode ended like that as if someone just cut it off. So they have to bring it back!!! Yes the lack of advertisement could have been the whole cause but as a foreigner who lives in Korea there is no way for a teenage girl like me to catch up on news like that. And ABC should respect the fans. Just because the number of ppl watching this is low doesn't mean there are no fans. So ABC should just bring it back!!!!!

I loved this show. Like so many others I never heard about it until it showed up on Netflix. Sad to see it gone but this seems to happen to all of the shows I like. And honestly after working to get the last 3 back on the air I know that appealing to the station is a lost cause. The thing I really don't understand is how shows like this get cut and they keep crap like Stienfield, Friends, and Cheer. It never makes any sense to me and they wonder why I have not turned my TV on in 9month and why I refuse to purchase cable.
