Hit singing competition The Voice is nearing the end of its first season, and before it wraps up NBC has decided to slot in one additional episode - a live results show set to air June 22. The show's season finale has been scheduled for June 29 - also a live show.

The Voice has been a strong performer for NBC since premiering back in April. When ratings surged out of the gate, the network quickly announced plans to extend the live shows to two hours starting June 7. A week later they renewed it for a second season, set to air mid-2012.

With the show being ranked the Number 1 new series of this season in the adults 18-49 demographic, one can hardly blame NBC for squeezing in any extra episodes they can before a winner is crowned.
