TNT will not move forward with a fourth season of the medical drama.
September 2, 2011
After three seasons on the air, Hawthorne has been cancelled. TNT issued a statement today that they will not be ordering a fourth season of the Jada Pinkett Smith-led medical drama.
Hawthorne premiered back in 2009 to mixed reviews from critics, but managed high enough ratings to stay on the air for three seasons with a total of 30 episodes. The show's series finale aired last month on August 16.

As a man, I hardly get into these female type shows, but this was one show that the boys on the job talk about. It figures, time we get to know the female side, y'all throw us a curb ball. Hopefully another network will pick the show up. Maybe when Tyler Perry get his own network we can rejoin, where we left at. Good luck, Jada!!!!

TNT was one of my favorites but I will no longer watch the channel which means I will no longer watch Law & Order from the TNT network. I know I`m just a small fish in a big pond but my vote is only one loss for TNT but that`s ok. It makes me feel better. I hope another cable channel will pick up Hawthorne, maybe FX will be interested.

I think cancelling this show was an injustice and obviously I'm not alone. There are all these reality shows that are terrible and you have a good drama and you just end it. At the very least you should give the loyal fans some closure we deserve that much. It makes you not want to watch anything because what's the point if its just going to get cancelled anyway. I'm very disappointed by the cancelling of this show.

I agree 100% with Matthew, other shows will come along and be cancelled before we know how they end. That's how producers hook us. I'll stick with movies. At least most give us the satisfaction of an ending. Yes I'd love to know how Hawthorne was suppose to end, but "oh well" I'll just move on.

loved that show. I guess we will never know who shot Nick or what happens with Tom and Christina. Do they work things out? one more season to wrap things up would have been better. Why!!!!

How could this happen? I loved this show. It's one of the best shows on TV. With all the reality TV that's being shown, there is not much on TV to hold most people's attention, then you put something on worth watching and it is cancelled. Now I will stop watching TNT.

WHO SHOT NICK?!!!! WAS IT TOM WHO SPED OFF OR WAS IT THE WEIRD MAN THAT SHOWED UP AT THE HOSPITAL AND nICK'S MOM'S FUNERAL WEARING THE RUBY RING? jUST ANSWER THAT AND I'LL LET TNT DO AS THEY MUST.

I am so disappointed. I really loved Hawthrone. A co-worker and I watched the show every Tuesday and it would be our lunch time discussion. I really can't believe how they dropped the show with so many unanswered screens: who was the mystery guy, did Nick die,did Masrc A. really kill the guy, what was up with the ring Christine hind under the floor board.... UGH I'M SO SAD

Hawthorne was one of my favorite shows! I don't like that they aren't even going to let us know who shot Nick!

Great show, until you made Christina a nut case. You turned a women who cared about people into an uncaring, adultress, who decided to be in love with 2 men. Whoever wrote that into the script needs to resign from writing.
Marc Anthony's acting sucked.
