Production on the series has been halted after four episodes.
October 14, 2011
After four low-rated episodes, the 2011 incarnation of Charlie's Angels has been cancelled. ABC has stopped production of the show effective immediately, but the already-produced episodes will apparently still make it to air. There is no word at this time on how many that will be.
The freshman action drama had been mired in low ratings since premiering last month, with speculation of cancellation surrounding the series since its first episode. Last night the show earned a 1.3 rating in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic, placing it last in its time slot versus its four other broadcast network competitors. That was likely the last straw for ABC.

one the biggest loser is one of the only good really shows out there and show that are good and make you think are put in time slots that the people who would watch them cant so they do get the rateing the tv networks should watch the internet and see how many people watch the show online and get the rating for there good shows may not get canceled then.

after the release of the remake of Hawaii Five 0 and loved the show i thought ok if they used what made that so damned good i couldn't see any harm in this, and HF-0 does retain some of the original feel to it but in a more modern execution to the show... this however i see that retaining some of the originals style can be a negative on a big scale... the show for the 1st 2-3 eps is so bloody boring.. but then started to pick up a bit but not enough to warrant a 2nd season, but not a total cancellation i mean at least finish the 1st season off and finish off the story... they did screwed up when they canceled No Ordinary Family that show was pretty damn good but i know we'll cancel and just blame on ratings... screw that i wish for once they would air a show and look at the fan base... or at least air a feature length pilot see what people liked about it then focus on that if it got enough *coughs* ratings then do a series would certainly save more time and money than making, airing half and cancel then leave the viewers wondering what the hell happens next...

Put the show in a different time slot and see what happens. Gives us some escape from real life !

I tried to watch 3 of the 4 aired episodes and couldn't sit through more than 10 or 15 minutes. There's just something about the show that turned me off despite looking forward to it since I found out about it. Such a shame... not the cancellation though. I actually agree with the network's decision for a change. *shrug*

I watched the first episode. That was enough. Diverse cast with extremely poor acting skills. Very surprised it made it past the pilot. Best advice to television and movie producers from a viewer's point of view. Gimmicks are obvious. This show was simply meant to cash in. It was painfully obvious , there was no passion for character or storyline development.

Sorry Drew B. U didnt get this one right. There's a formula to good TV, U should know. I was 12 when the Original Angels flew on2 the airwaves, a 6th grade Italian who's Mom let her get "Farrah hair"...the Originals were glamorous, got 2 wear sexy costumes & always got the bad guys cuz they were COPS! Something we 6th graders could aspire 2 b! 2day's knockoffs portrayed EX-CONS w/records & looked like any girl u might see giving u a burger from a drive thru window...sorry, but that's NOT the stuff ICONS of Pop Culture are made of. KATE, JACKIE & BELOVED ANGEL, FARRAH will always b the One & Only, "CHARLIE'S ANGELS"...

It was as wooden as a Canadian forest. Contrived plots, stupid scripting, and models cast where they should have put actors.
Four episodes was generous for this stinker.

I really enjoyed the new version of Charlie's Angels. Come on now. You finally have a Black Angel and Bosley is a gorgeous but kicking Hispanic Man. Not to mention the other female minority Angel with attitude. They couldn't or wouldn't have done that in the original series. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of the original series, but you have to admit, not one of those Angels was a minority. The new show is also a change from everyone having a squeaky clean past, including Charlie as it has been aluded to that he has a hidden agenda. ABC, give this show another chance. I'd like to see this story unfold. Also, it is about time, television returned to good tv with story lines you can sink your teeth into. Please stop stuffing us with those terrible reality shows. None of that stuff is reality anyway. I'm from the old school generation of tv watching and I have to say, alot of the stuff on all of the major networks is in poor taste and definitely forgets about the real adults here.
