No Season 6 for the crime drama.

It is being reported by Deadline that Law & Order: Organized Crime has been cancelled by NBC after five seasons. The news is not a surprise, as the crime drama was moved to streaming service Peacock for Season 5 last year before an eventual second-window run on NBC.
Law & Order: Organized Crime sees former SVU detective Elliot Stabler return to the NYPD to take on organized crime after suffering a devastating personal loss. After being away for the past decade, he must adapt to all the changes in the criminal justice system, the city, and his department. Stabler now aims to rebuild his life while leading an elite task force that is dismantling the city's most powerful crime syndicates.

I never saw the point in this show. It started out with a weird plotline during the BLM days and then went off in unfocused directions. Any human being like Stabler would have self-destructed long ago. His personal life is full of problems and his professional life is always on the edge of getting him killed. Meloni can be a powerful actor but he needs to be reined in.

I have always been a fan of Stabler. And I was a huge fan of this version of him -- grittier and darker. But then NBC decided to make it exclusive to Peacock and I wasn't going to pay for a show I got to watch for free for a couple of years. It's a shame -- I really liked it. It should have stayed on the schedule as a follow-up to SVU. Hope they bring Stabler back to SVU

I have no interest in seeing Benson & Stabler get anything but if it keeps them from making another season of Happy I'm all for it.

I liked that this was a much grittier step in the Law & Order franchise but I had a feeling we'd be getting this bad news. The Stabler character should become more regular on SVU now. Who doesn't want to see Benson and Stabler have their "happily ever after"?
