The low-rated airline drama will end after 14 episodes.
November 29, 2011
When Pan Am was left off of ABC's midseason schedule two weeks ago, the writing was on the wall that the network was not planning to continue on with the series. Despite ABC's refusal to confirm the show's cancallation, things were not looking good for the low-rated drama.
Today, however, comes the final nail in the coffin. One of Pan Am's stars, Karine Vanasse, posted the following message on her Twitter account:
"Well, we received THE call, #PanAm is only coming back for one more episode after Christmas. But up to the end, we'll give it our all !"
Barring a miracle, Pan Am's days appear to be numbered. The show has five episodes left to air between now and early next year.

Everytime I get hooked on a show they cancel it. Pan Am was getting really good. For now on I am going to DVR all new shows for the entire season. If they cancel it I don't have a broken heart! Ratings may be showing false readings these days since everyone does own a DVR. Wvwr think of that?!

ABC says Pan Am is NOT CANCELLED! Wherever this info came from is wrong. Don't trust stupid sights like Show Star or TVBytheNumbers. They tell people what it looks like, not what it is! Trust the actual network that is making the REAL and FINAL decision, which is set to a date in May, 2012. Until then, no decision will be made. Hopefully they will make the right move. You know ABC....

The latest word is that Pan Am is still not returning. ABC Publicity did bill last night's episode as the Season Finale, but behind the scenes it is still considered as good as done.

Very sad that ABC is cancelling this show. Please take the Bachelor series off the air and keep good shows like PAN AM. I looked forward to this show every week and enjoyed the storylines of the 60's era.

Meh. It was getting old. The whole "hey, it's the 60's!" was getting to be too much. The 60's were becoming a character in the show rather than a backdrop. I did like it for the most part and, if they had stuck to the people instead of cramming all the pop culture down our throats it could have lasted longer. Guess I'll get more reading in on Sunday nights now.

PLEASE, PLLLEEEASE give Pan Am another try!! There is so much crap on TV that doesn't get cancelled and now I know why...they don't give the new shows enough time!! Did it ever occur to you guys that the reason people watch the dumb reality shows is because there is nothing "good" on and if you keep cancelling shows then we have nothing to become attached to!! Pan Am "IS" a reality show....because that's how things really were back then and that's what our age group WANTS to see!! Please, please reconsider this awful decision!!
