The low-rated airline drama will end after 14 episodes.
November 29, 2011
When Pan Am was left off of ABC's midseason schedule two weeks ago, the writing was on the wall that the network was not planning to continue on with the series. Despite ABC's refusal to confirm the show's cancallation, things were not looking good for the low-rated drama.
Today, however, comes the final nail in the coffin. One of Pan Am's stars, Karine Vanasse, posted the following message on her Twitter account:
"Well, we received THE call, #PanAm is only coming back for one more episode after Christmas. But up to the end, we'll give it our all !"
Barring a miracle, Pan Am's days appear to be numbered. The show has five episodes left to air between now and early next year.

You must be kidding. Please reconsider this pending cancellation. Those of us who were around during the sixties totally love this show.

Typical... the ONE show that I actually like (Pan Am) is being cancelled. Why can't they cancel shows that have no meaning (NCIS, Criminal Minds, House, The Glades, Breakout Kings)? Every time I try to watch one of these shows I feel as if my IQ is getting lower and lower. They need to keep Pan Am. It's the only really good thing on.

It is typical, now they'll replace it with a "dumb" reality show!! I hope USA or TNT picks up the show, because they (Networks) are only into the "stupid" reality shows!!

Pan Am is so much better than Rubicon or Lie to Me ever was. It gets better each episode and the whole using the stewardess for espionage is awesome. Probably happened more than we know. Once again a good show gets canned and they will keep some crappy show.

what a shame. this show is not about flightsj w/a bunch of bozo stewardesses. it has charm and intrigue. i love the show and am sorry to see it go. christina ricci is great! i always look forward to the next episode. why can't network tv get rid of jersey shore, toddlers and tiaras, housewives of..., sister wives or anything w/the kardasians? when cheers first came out they tried to cancel and look how it progressed when given another chance. give pan am another try. it's a good show. what trash will you put on next? bachelor and bachelorette also needs to go. fall in love w/one guy w/competing woman? oh, that's true love!
