NBC will not be renewing the Kathy Bates legal drama.
May 11, 2012
NBC has cancelled Harry's Law after two seasons on the air. The modestly-rated legal drama has long been considered on-the-bubble for earning a renewal past two seasons.
The show will end after a total of 34 episodes over two seasons. Its now-series finale will air on May 20, 2012.

About time,,,NBC in their left hand views,,they ruined a very good show with their LEFT THINKING.... Just last week in the middle of a courtroom scene,,, All of a sudden out of the blue,,, comes the LINE ""How can this be in a country where people do not believe in GAY Marriage????????/"""" Good Grief as Charlie Brown woulds say........................

Harry's Law was the only show I watched other than news, Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune. I loved it! Why is it being cancelled? The show dealt well with timely subjects.

I can't believe NBC will cancel such an entertaining program. I look forward to viewing Harry's Law every week and if it is a really good episode I will watch it twice in the week, like the one with the gorilla, which I've been looking forward to a follow-up, and May 13th where the court room is taken hostage after a murder trial verdict is read. I don't enjoy reality programs and there's not much else worth watching and if it wasn't for the sports my husband watches I would cancel my cable and go back to old fashion READING for my entertainment. Thank you NBC. NOT!!!! If you ever considered reversing a decision on a program cancellation please make it HARRY'S LAW.

I have never commented on any of the comment sections throughout the entire internet, but I can't keep my mouth shut about this. What are you thinking NBC or aren't you thinking? LIke some of these other comments, there's so little on NBC I like anymore. Your execs have made some pretty stupid choices for their network, but this one takes the cake. You don't find them any better than Kathy Bates; how on earth do you dare cancel her show. Shame on all of you decision makers at NBC.

NBC I hope that you pay attention to all of these well thought out reasons as to why you just have to stop canceling quality shows such as Harry's Law. When you manage to get such experienced actors and writers who provide such current and thought provoking situations where the audience can learn from issues that go on in our society and offering viewpoints to be taken into consideration, that's doing a service as well as providing a show that conveys intelligence. Take a stand for a change NBC and allow this show to stay on the air. We need some quality in programs instead of those mindless cheap to produce reality shows!!!!!! I think you need to recognize the very fine points so many of the fans who took the time to make comments. TAKE HEED for a change from those not in your mindless 18-49 group you are always trying to please. The over 50s and 60s etc. spend money too.

Harry's Law is one of the few sophisticated shows on TV. What does it say about the 18 to 49 demographic when what seems to be popular are stupid comedies and reality TV. It is truly the dumming down of America. Hopefully another network will pick this up. NBC has lost this demographic...It was the only show on the network I watched.

One of the MOST interesting and entertainng shows NBC has ever had on television.
Kathy Bates and crew are EXCELLENT in all that they portray. The writing could NOT be better.
There really are people, viewers, that have an IQ greater than a shoe box which are capable to follow a great show like Harrys Law. It's not only informative but very entertaining.
I really do not understand where or how the ratings are established, but, it's time to get rid of the moronic realty shows. Every station is inundated with these rediculous shows. Isn't there enough in your own life that you have to be involved in someone elses?
For the NBC exec, leave the shows like Harrys Law on the schedule so many of us loyal watchers may continue to use our brains and be entertained as well.

One of the three I DVR every week. Love the show, the cast, the topical nature of the scripts and the humor. I will miss Harry.

I am so sick of investing my time into shows that 1 or 2 seasons in get cancelled, all of which are good shows. The whole Nielsen rating system is a joke. It does NOT accurately meter what exactly is being watched at all!
This is a great show with great acting covering great topics, just like Law & Order has always done. I get so sick of these networks cancelling shows when the shows just start to get really developed good. It takes a dozen shows before this actually happens and people get into their new roles well.
This is why I may just cancel cable. Why pay for stuff like this if it gets cancelled over and over again.
I am also fed up with shows that get cancelled that clearly have a beginnning and end. You, the tv production companies owe us. If you are going to create a series such as Lost, Farscape, BattleStar Galactica, etc.... that has a clear beginning and end, you can not cancel it mid way through the season. It is not fair to the viewers and is an insult to those who pay your salaries. It is also an insult to the series. I can think of no less than 6 series I have started watching in the past 3 years only to have them cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons. V is a prime example!
