New celebrities will hit the ballroom floor this fall.

ABC announced today that Dancing with the Stars has been renewed for a 35th season. The celebrity dance competition will be coming back to broadcast television for the 2026-2027 season, and will again be simulcast on Disney+.
Two celebrities have already been announced for the new season, and they are Maura Higgins (Love Island and The Traitors) and Ciara Miller (Summer House). The rest of the cast will be announced closer to the premiere.
Look for Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars this fall.

The show is still on the air?? I haven't watched since Brooke Burke won season 7 way back in 2008.

I completely agree with Steve. I love watching to see the progression from those that really put the effort in and have some actual talent. It becomes evident very quickly to see who is there for exposure and who is there to really complete. I stopped thinking of it as celebrity dancing and more of just a dance competition with a few celebrities sprinkled in. I really enjoyed "So you think you can dance" and wish they would bring it back.

There's no point in watching this show for the B and C level stars they get. Most seasons I have no idea who they are. What matters is how well they do in learning ballroom dancing. As far as I'm concerned they could just grab 12 people off the street.
In every season there's always two or three "stars" who have real talent in dancing, and that's what I watch for. Personally I don't care about the backgrounds and stories of the "stars" and for me it's a distraction.
But hats off to the pros, both those partnered with the "stars" and those in the stock company. They put their hearts into this show. They've spent years and even decades learning their trade and this is the only national showcase for it.

I "aged out of watching DWTS" on my original date of birth. Can't believe anyone watches this.

I believe I aged out of watching DWTS back in 2008. Since then, I didn't know (or care) who any of the "stars" even are/were.
