The New York-set spin-off continues while Miami ends.

CBS has renewed CSI: NY for a ninth season. The news comes on the same day that the network cancelled CSI: Miami.
CSI: NY is the second spin-off in the franchise and got its start back in 2004, four years after the original CSI and two years after CBS realized that its Miami spin-off was a success. Fast forward eight years, with ratings dipping for all CSI series, it has long been rumored that one of either Miami or NY would not continue for the 2012-2013 season.

What is wrong with all of you people who made the above comments? Did any of you even graduate from grade school? I would say you can barely string two sentences together if your comments weren't comprised of ranting run-on sentences! Example: "I think the networks are just in it for the money and right now talk shows and reality like em or not Ihate most of em are where it is at but its really sad that the good shows are cancelled and the crap shows stay on!" Wow!

csiny is the worst of the 3 because of danny and lindsey melina peyton and angel leaving and gary and megan kissingand i think csiny writers suck aabd should be the worst partof cisny it is in nyork danny is ugly and adam is funny but gary and sela make a ckutge couple

all i can say is that csiny shouldnt have come back for season9 because the ratings were lo.I think that csi miami should be back and even csi should be cancelled

glad gary sinese will be back for season9 i just dont like the love interest storyline unless peyton or sela become his girlfriend
