The legal drama becomes the first victim of the 2012 fall season.
October 10, 2012
CBS has cancelled low-rated drama Made in Jersey after only two episodes. The freshman series has been pulled from the network's schedule effective immediately, and will be replaced by repeats of NCIS and Hawaii Five-0 until November 2, when Season 4 of Undercover Boss will take over its Friday 8:00pm time slot.
Made in Jersey has been one of the lowest-rated new shows this fall, premiering two Fridays ago at a mere 1.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic before falling down to a 0.8 this past week. Today's cancellation makes it the first show of the 2012 fall season to get the axe.

I am 52 and really like this show, Every year shows on Friday night get cancelled right away. Give them a chance or change the time slot. Come on Friday night is the night people go out after working all week. I watched it on my DVR.

We live in Jersey and her 12 versions of the North Jersey accent was irritating enough to tune out.

My father and I separately found and really liked this show. We were very sad to see it get cancelled and cancelled so quickly.

Especially stupid to replace it with reruns of Hawaii five O which has gotten so bad.

If networks continue to not give shows a chance then you are probably going to be the losers and your network will be tuned out. You probably think you'll be okay because of sports but I think in the future we will not have to depend on local channels for sports. Maybe you should learn how to be a little more creative and air the shows that you think do not do well and show them on Saturday nights, late night, etc. This was a good show but nobody will get a chance to decide. I usually don't like the shows such as "The New Normal" and I do not care for this show but I do enjoy "Partners" and I hear that is on the chopping block also. Your best shows are the ones that you seem to want to kick out!

I feel you should give Made in Jersey another chance. I think it premiered at a bad time and is a good show.

I really liked the show. Now I don't know if Nielson ratings is the way they make the decision on how many people watch, but if they do, I know for a fact that they put my mother on one of their boxes in her home at the age of 83 or so and she told them she wasn't at home all the time. But she was told that didn't matter! So who are these "ratings people"???? Call me... I am a TV junkie!

It would appear CBS's program management team needs to be cleaned out (fired IOW) like our current White House. If a show's value, or lack of, can be determined by it's ratings after just two airings, you would think competent professionals would have been able to make this determination prior to having wasted the start-up costs?
It's kind of like how our current White House filled with non-professionals pouring $90 Billion taxpayer dollars down that "green energy" rat hole.

I can't believe they cancelled this show after just two episodes. In talking to my female friends which would be an older audience than the dempgraphics of 18-45, the show was liked, and enjoyed. A show's fate should not be decided after two episodes. If CBS wanted to give this show a real chance they shouldn't have given it a Friday night timeslot,if the targed audience was 18-49 year olds as that time slot is when most people 18-49 are out
