The legal drama becomes the first victim of the 2012 fall season.
October 10, 2012
CBS has cancelled low-rated drama Made in Jersey after only two episodes. The freshman series has been pulled from the network's schedule effective immediately, and will be replaced by repeats of NCIS and Hawaii Five-0 until November 2, when Season 4 of Undercover Boss will take over its Friday 8:00pm time slot.
Made in Jersey has been one of the lowest-rated new shows this fall, premiering two Fridays ago at a mere 1.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic before falling down to a 0.8 this past week. Today's cancellation makes it the first show of the 2012 fall season to get the axe.

1st show was good, 2nd was just ok, but that accent was comical.....did they ever come to NJ as ask people to talk? I am 50 yrs here, born and raised, and never heard a girl sound lie that!

Really. You would think that CBS would at least give a show 1 season. Really replace it with re-runs !!!

I liked the 1st show. The 2nd one was a bit boring. That fake NJ accent was bad. No one in NJ talks like that. I hate the way the NY media makes people from NJ look stupid. Our state is misrepresented. People from NY talk with more of an accent then NJ people do.

Very stupid on the part of CBS to cancel this show.

What was this show? I've never even heard of it. Oh well, to all of you complaining, a show opening to a 1.something rating is bad. Falling to 0.something by the second episode is even worse. They're not going to keep a show on that no one is watching. Repeats of NCIS get better ratings.

Why is it they cancel the shows that are good and leave the ones on that are so stupid and replace with reality or more re-tarted shows.

PS...Those of us who live here know it's NEW Jersey. We're Jersey girls and we go to the Jersey shore, but we live in NEW Jersey. Would you make a show called "Made in York?" "Made in Hampshire?" You might make one called "Made in Mexico," but it would have an entirely different reference. Boy, I'm heated over this one! :)

That was the worst fake NJ accent I've ever heard. It was distracting to listen to it, and so I couldn't pay attention to or enjoy the show. We don't drop our r's in NJ. We don't say "brotha," "sista," "lawya." On top of that, educated professionals, at least on the job, don't say "somethin'" and "nothin'." Why is it that the people she worked with spoke normally? They had to all have been from NJ or NY. Her friend who referenced hanging out in Perth Amboy spoke perfectly fine as a New Jersey girl.
No one I know liked that show. I am glad it was canceled. I'm tired of seeing people of NJ misrepresented on TV.

I can't believe they cancelled this after just two episodes. The first episode was really good but the second one wasn't as good. Still, you can't decide a show's fate after just two episodes. You have to give it time. If CBS wanted to give this show a real chance they shouldn't have given it a Friday night timeslot, a time when most people 18-49 are out. This could have become CBS's Law & Order if only they'd have given it a decent chance.
