The freshman sitcom becomes this season's second casualty.
October 18, 2012
NBC has pulled the plug on new comedy Animal Practice. The show, which premiered in late September, has aired three episodes to-date (four if you include a special preview in August) and will continue in its regular time slot until November 7, 2012, which will be its final episode.
Low ratings plagued the series, which has fallen from modest 2.4 rating among adults 18-49 in its September debut to a lowly 1.0 this week. It is the first comedy of the season to be cancelled, and second overall after drama Made in Jersey.
In its place, Whitney will start airing on November 14, 2012 to kick off its sophomore season.

The little capuchin make this show. When he stood up with that hand puppet on top of him sending Yamamazing into a frenzy made me laugh hysterically. What a shame they didn't give this show a chance.

When channels try to put up a that has nothing to do human doctors, or lawyers or cops. They love to pull them early. Freaking sucks. I love seeing Joanna in shows and I was hoping this one would stick. SUCKS!
And I think there should be more "stupid" shows just to make people mad that hate "stupid" shows.

Promoting pet adoption might be a noble cause, but it doesn't keep the lights on, and not enough people donated their time to keep this puppy alive.

What a mistake, why don't they give a show a chance? Three episodes and gone? Really? If the execs were to lose their jobs they wouldn't be so quick to cancel!
This is a show that actually promotes pet adoption... and people could have learned through this show... what a shame that those execs in suits have no clue about what a good show is and a good show isn't.
