The freshman sitcom becomes this season's second casualty.
October 18, 2012
NBC has pulled the plug on new comedy Animal Practice. The show, which premiered in late September, has aired three episodes to-date (four if you include a special preview in August) and will continue in its regular time slot until November 7, 2012, which will be its final episode.
Low ratings plagued the series, which has fallen from modest 2.4 rating among adults 18-49 in its September debut to a lowly 1.0 this week. It is the first comedy of the season to be cancelled, and second overall after drama Made in Jersey.
In its place, Whitney will start airing on November 14, 2012 to kick off its sophomore season.

Dumb move on NBC's part. This was a well done and unique show. Would have loved to seen this one and Community paired together. That would have been an hour of great comedy.

Ouch. I predict a bad winter for the Swishers. Nick gets jeered at Yankee stadium and won't be in pinstripes next year and now his wife's (admittedly terrible) show gets the axe. I think Joanna Garcia-Swisher is extremely sexy, but honestly, who green-lit this garbage? And guess what we get rewarded with in it's time slot? The second season of Whitney!!! YAY!!! Thanks TV execs!!!
