ABC has cancelled Private Practice after deciding not to order the back nine episodes of the current sixth season, which will now be 13 episodes in length. The medical drama, originally spun off of the still-going-strong Grey's Anatomy, has aired over 100 episodes since premiering in 2007.

Unbelievable! Private Practice...cancelled? I loved the characters and was anxiously waiting for the new season to start, get rid of all those silly reality shows, I'm sure all would agree, we have enough "reality" in our everyday lives, give us something where someone else has the drama, and Brothers and sisters, c'mon, Sally Fields is a remarkable actress, and who doesn't like looking at Taye Diggs!

I can't believe you have cancelled Smash, Private Practice, Brother and Sisters and Body of Proof. All were great shows that I looked forward to watching weekly. I agree too much reality TV. I hate it and so does my husband. Every time a good show is on TV it's cancelled. This is just crazy. What is going to be cancelled next?

I am so sick of you canceling shows!! First Private Practice and now Body of Proof!! That is crazy! No wonder you don't have number 1 ratings!!! Everyone I talk to loves those two shows! I also loved Brothers & Sisters.

Wow what a way to go ABC, you keep cancelling the best shows and then end up putting stupid reality shows, you took Brothers and Sisters off another great show, soon I will no longer watch any thing on ABC!!!!

I guess I'm a little behind. I just found out my favorite show got cancelled. There will be a lot more fans in shock when they start looking for the new episodes.

This cancellation was another mistake. Cancel the stupid reality shows or some of the ridiculous comedies.

Probably cancelled to make room for another frickin' reality (NOT) show. What is going on? Why don't they let viewers decide by first canceling the ridiculous (non) reality shows so we can actually pick the intelligent - maybe learn something, and be entertained kind of shows like Private Practice.

what a stupid mistake best show out there I even watched the reruns couldn't get enough hope to see it back on never missed it if wasn't home the video recorder was which made it better because then I could fast forward thru the stupid stuff like advertising.
