The BBC have long stated they are wrapping it up, not cancelling it.
The show will come to a "natural and dramatic end".

Sorry to see it get cancelled, just finish watching the 4th season and love watching this magical series. I hope with the cancellation we, in the states, will still get the opportunity to watch the 5th series. Arthur is now King and we need to see the complete story. Both my husband and I always looked forward to sitting down in the evening watching this.

I'm glad we as the fans can see the series finale. Some networks will not let you say good bye to your favorite characters.

Glad to know it was set up for five seasons all along. This makes the last season well prepared and thought out to end. Yay

I love all Arthur shows and this one was fun to watch. I kept waiting for Merlin to come into all of his powers and actually be allowed to use them.

We all knew from the beginning that there would only be 5 seasons of this show so ease up a little huh!

This is one of the best shows, but living in the states it was hard to watch, our cable provider didn't have sy fy for the longest

Merlin was only intended to go for 5 seasons. I wouldn't use the word cancelled in this case. It's going into it's final season, similar to Fringe. They're doing a 2 hour finale. :)
