The motorcycle reality series ends after 10 years.
December 9, 2012
Discovery series American Chopper will be airing its final episode this Tuesday, December 11, 2012. The network has decided to end the show's run after 10 years and 233 episodes.
Known as one of the first family-based reality shows on television, the series followed Paul Teutul and his son building custom motorcycles. Cameras captured all the goings on, including the frequent disagreements between the two men. The show launched in 2002 and ran on Discovery until moving to the network's sister channel TLC in 2008. A couple of years later the show was actually cancelled due to behind-the-scenes issues between the Teutuls. After both sides eventually made amends, the show re-launched in 2010 as American Chopper: Junior vs. Senior and ran briefly before finally returning to its original title and network.
The series ends this Tuesday with a four-way bike build-off special called The Revenge, and will air live from Las Vegas, NV.

The show lasted years longer than most. I am shocked that their are not a lot of positive comments. Loved the bikes they made, encluding the bike for 911, the restoration was a lot of work. They are profeshionals doing what they do best. Oh by the way no drugs, drinking beating up people yes family fights, but no one ended up in a hospital or doctors office, to me it was good clean entertainment. I hope someone will figure a way to bring junior and his crew back for a new show or at least a yearly special. Thanks for giving me the opertunity to express my opinion. Love your sight, do not get yourself canceled. Merry Chriatmas and a happy New Year to you and the staff "is my show canceled" is a fantastic place for me to get current information. MKL

In the beginning, I loved the show. I guess because I wished me and my father could have built a company just as successful. But We never ever would or have talked and used language like they did. Latter I think watched because of the fights.I did learn a few things.
It was probably time to end, maybe should have ended sooner. I would like to see it again how they started to where they went.

This show was entertaining for about the first 10 minutes. How it lasted 10 years is a complete mystery to me.
