Consider the freshman comedy cancelled.
January 24, 2013
Fox has effectively cancelled new comedy Ben and Kate. The network has taken the series off its schedule effective immediately. 13 episodes have aired since the show premiered last September, but it is unclear when, or if, the remaining installments will air.
In the 8:00-9:00pm time slot starting this coming Tuesday, Fox will air back-to-back episodes of Raising Hope through February.

I liked Ben &kate. Liked the brother ...maybe they could write a better script. Maybe tone done Ben character ..not so ADHD . Good concept ... New girl just as quirky as Ben ,but that show works.

Here we go with yet ANOTHER show that I love being canceled!! I had given up on network TV because I hated the sting of getting involved in a show only to have it canceled. In the process, I ended up missing out on a lot of good shows so I started watching again. Give me premium cable any day!!

This show overstayed it's welcome I think but it was good and had potential like many comedies of this nature. I will miss this show as much as I will miss Partners which was another potentially great show.

Maybe Kate would like to join up with Kate Gosselin plus Eight and try to get another season out of this.

Not a surprise to me. Wasn't as clever as raising hope or dramatic as Louie. Ill just stick with reality TV for now. MKL

Too bad... great concept, quirky cast and for the most part good shows. What went wrong? Too many sub-plots and storylines to try to cram into a single season left me always feeling "What's next?" If they had taken a simple storyline and stuck with it (like Ben and Kate's sibling relationship) and let the other characters blend in and not be so front and center maybe it would catch on. I did not expect and ensemble comedy and got one confusing mess over the first half of the season. Perhaps cleaner writing and storylines would have attracted an audience. I love Dakota Johnson - I hope the find a vehicle for her to shine.
