A month after canceling the series, the network has changed its position.

It is being reported that Lifetime has reversed its decision to cancel Drop Dead Diva, and will be bringing it back for a fifth season after all. This news will surely come as a delight to devoted fans of the series, who displayed an outcry of support for the show after learning it had been axed just over a month ago.
There are no details at this time as to when the dramedy will resume production or return for Season 5.
UPDATE: Season 5 of Drop Dead Diva will premiere on Sunday, June 23, 2013.

I am SO happy that Lifetime made the decision to bring back DDD. It is has been one of my favorite shows since it's debut. Lifetime, thank you for listening to your viewers, unlike other networks.

This is a mistake. Lifetime, you made me jump for joy when I first heard this was to be canned. But upon hearing of this revival makes me angry. Lifetime, you are a disgrace and an even bigger piece of trash than I thought! X(

DDD will return for a fifth and final season. They are shooting right now.
It airs on Lifetime on June 23rd at 9 (8 central).

Woo hoo!!! I'm so excited. I was so disappointed when they said it was cancelled. I"m completely overjoyed they're letting them continue. Congrats to everyone for letting the network know this is a show worth keeping. I myself am so tired of the endless reality shows. This is just such a cute show. Thanks Lifetime for listening for once :)
