Netflix will release new episodes this May.
April 4, 2013
Netflix has announced a return date for the new season of Arrested Development, which the company is reviving six years after the show was cancelled by FOX. New episodes - 15 in total - for the comedy's fourth season will be available at 12:01am on May 26, 2013 in territories where Netflix is available.
In an impressive move, all of the show's main characters will be returning for the new episodes, with each one set to focus on a different character's point of view. There are no plans to produce any additional episodes, however.

Americans have no sense of humour. This show was excellent but you needed some kind of intelligence to get it, which most tv viewing americans do not have.
If you find Chris Rock funny, yes i am on about you.

Any one who calls this show crap has a dead funny bone. They one the Emmy for best comedy series, and Fox decides to cancell it. Yeah that makes sense.

@TheShield Reviving Alcatraz would be a dumb move and Netflix isn't known to be dumb.
Alcatraz was doomed to failure.
The idea would have made a fantastic motion picture with the right director.
Let's call it what it really was, a post LOST birth bubble.
As far as ARRESTED, I am not a fan, but I applaud NETFLIX's blazing this trail of exclusivenesses.
Continued death to Blockbuster - which survives IN NAME ONLY because they were bought out by an entity interested in the client base.
It's an embarrassment really. They expound on the pluses of having DISH, and then add "plus you get Blockbuster FREE! (for 3 months)"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Within two more years, they will wise up and cease using the name "Blockbuster" and it will FINALLY be truly DEAD, even in NAME!

Main character's can be in more than one series. I am watching a name actor that is in three different sreies. All are filmed at different times. MKL
