ABC has renewed Shark Tank for a fifth season. The reality series has continued to be a strong performer for the network, regularly winning its Friday-night time slot in Season 4.
ABC will keep Shark Tank on Friday nights for the 2013-2014 season.

i love the show! of course, not all of the deals go through, but it is fun watching them, and learning about what the sharks think from the questions they ask!

John, you are correct that some of the deals do not get completed during the Due Dilligence phase. Just as many contestants back out of the deal after the show as the Sharks themselves. Both parties have this option!
BUT the majority of them do in fact get made and many have become very successful after being on the Show.
Joe, you are also correct that the Shark Tank is the US version of the Dragons Den. But did you know that the Dragons Den is a knock off from the "original" Japaneese version?

The show is okay and a rip off of the British show Dragons Den. Robert thinks he is a legend now and doesn't do the Canadian Dragons Den. What a tosser.

Show is fake. When negotiated off camera after the show, a lot of the deals fall through. Total waste of time.
