It is being reported that Lifetime has renewed Drop Dead Diva for a sixth season. 13 new episodes have been ordered for a return in 2014.
The show is readying to air its fifth-season finale on November 3.
UPDATE: Season 6 premieres with a 2-hour episode on Sunday, March 23. It has been confirmed that it will be the show's final season.

DDD is a great show I agree with the others about owen/Stacy story line its a weird line Jane has been hurt enough.Please keep the show going its great...

Wow... And to think they cancelled this show after season 4. I do wish networks would give their shows more credit. I agree... the Owen-Stacy line is just weirding me out... LOL

Kimberlya82, I don't think DDD needs the promotion like the other shows, also, with the cancelation of the Client List, I home Lifetime keeps this show around.

I think the Owen and Stacy story line was needed if Jane is going to move forward with Grayson. I think as fans, we like Owen, wooing Jane, the engagement, then the heartattack, then the recovery, and the wedding day. I think the writers needed to Justify Jane and Grayson being together in some way.

I love love love this show but........this Stacy/Owen dating has got to go. Where do they do that at. No girlfriend of mine would ever date or let alone want a child by the man I was about to marry. Please change this to where Jane was only dream this cause I would hate to stop watching.

Great news! Very surpising since it has always been clear to me that the network pushes it's other shows more than DDD. They don't even show previews for the next episode at the end any more, they show previews for Devious Maids and Witches Of East End. You have to be a true fan to find out when it's on tv now. I've been unsure about the storyline also, Owen and Stacey together doesn't bother me but I don't care for the way it was done. Jane wasn't supposed to have a problem with Stacey having her ex fiancee baby? I would've thrown a much bigger fit than Jane did!

I'm happy it's been renewed however like most I do NOT like the Owen/Stacy storyline. In the real world no best friend would ask their best friends former fiancee to be their sperm donor and certainly wouldn't date them. Stacy was likable bit not any more. And I do not want Jane and Grayson together. Jane and Owen need to get back together PLEASE!

Soooo disappointed in Owen and Stacy saga. Loved Owen as a judge, but not as a ladie's man. He has lost his charm and mystery. Unfortunately, we will not be watching this if the story line doesn't change.

Normally I'd be super excited to see this show has been renewed but with the Owen and Stacy story line, not so much. Hopefully the story will go in a different way.
