Production has shut down on the new comedy.
January 28, 2014
It is being reported that NBC has cancelled Sean Saves The World, stopping all production on the show today. The freshman comedy has struggled in the ratings since its premiere last October, failing to find an audience in its Thursday night time slot.
A total of 18 episodes were ordered by the network, 14 of which have already been shot. The show is currently twelve episodes into its run, and it is possible that the remaining two will be aired once the upcoming Olympics are over.

Yeah let's watch more of reality TV. No wonder people stop watching the networks. Can't seem to keep a good show on!!!

It's a shame. One of the best comedies to come along in a while. Also awesome to see the hilarious Linda Lavin back on TV. That being said, the timeslot excuse is just that. An EXCUSE. In today's day of the DVR I along with the majority of Americans do not watch anything live anymore other than sports. If a show is cancelled it comes down to advertising. If the advertisers don't see a rise in profits they blame it on the show whether we watch it or not AND WE ARE THE ONE'S WHO SUFFER.

What a travesty ... Sean Saves The World is one of the best comedy shows on the tv. Why not cancel some of those stupid cartoon comedies. I really missed Sean ... now that he is back cracking us up YOU CANCEL HIM ... dah!!!!

Please, please move it to another time slot. It is an excellent program with wonderful starts. Do it justice before you make such a cancellation. What in the heck are you going to put on against the other channels on that time slot? Nothing, right?

OMG! I love this show, why don't it be moved to another time slot where the audience can really watch it.

This was one of the funniest shows I ever watched. I would consistently have hysterically loud outbursts of laughter. I think Sean deserves better. He is fantastic. And Linda Lavin (sp?) truly complimented the show. A great cast.

I agree with Mike's post from 2/3. NBC should have given this show a chance on another night, since Thursdays are dominated by CBS, regardless of how good the shows are. It's a shame that another great comedy goes to waste due to poor network scheduling. I never could understand why networks continue to put the best shows against each other instead of showing them on nights when they have a better chance to succeed. NBC has really dropped the ball in the last year with other premature cancellations like "AWAKE" and "DO NO HARM", two fantastic shows that ended way too soon. I hope that another network does pick up "SEAN SAVES THE WORLD", because it's funnier than 95% of the sitcoms out there. Maybe NBC should be cancelled!

How could this show get cancelled? Doesn't NBC know they can no longer compete on Thursday? Start your shows on another night. If they become a huge success move them to Thursday.
This show just kept getting better and better. I was so glad the Linda Lavin character had already started to evolve. Amazing talent squandered. Idiots!

I can't believe one of the best shows ever has been cancelled. Such a clever, funny and relevant show. I'm writing to NBC come on lets save this one.

I really looked forward and enjoy watching this show every week with my family. This really sad news I would like to see the show it picked up by another station or even Netflix or Hulu.
