The new drama makes the move on March 14.
March 4, 2014
In a recent press release, Fox announced that new series Rake will be moving to Friday nights. The time slot shift begins on March 14, which will be the show's eighth episode since its premiere in late January.
The freshman drama has gotten off to a slow start on Thursdays, where it most recently dropped to a 0.8 rating among Adults 18-49, which is markedly down from its premiere rating of 1.7.
Rake will air one more episode this week in its original Thursday time slot before making the switch next week.

Rake is an exciting adult show with excellant writing and acting. Shows which should be canceled: Bones acting writing poor; CSI/NCIS fake show; Hell’s Kicthen & Mastercheif Jr, yelling a poor example of communication for Adults/Children/Adolescents, nothing (+) about the shows.

BooHoo! I looked for Rake everywhere, Thurs & Fri PM, and it was nowhere to be found. I am sooo disappointed. Reading the above messages, I guess it will probably be cancelled (if not already), but I love it! I think Greg Kinnear and his co-stars are great! And I love the story line and execution. I can't stand FOX though. They are so much about the mighty dollar, they never give a show a decent time to get off its feet! What the hell!!! I guess I will just stop seeing their new shows, since they will be cancelled the minute they are my favorites!

The show is alright but if it goes, I won't lose sleep over it. There isn't anything else to watch on Fridays anyways except Helix on the syfy channel. Maybe it will help its ratings by moving to Fridays. Hannibal is the only thing on regular television on Fridays but it will be at a different time slot so it won't have to compete against it. I don't care for Hannibal myself and actually deleted it from my dvr. Just to slow and confusing to me but I know there are a lot out there who enjoy it. Wouldn't bother me to see both shows axed and bring in some new stuff.

moving to fri? no season 2 for this show. Fox fri is the kiss of death. If you like this show.....enjoy it while you can.

Watched the first episode and wanted to like it as I love Greg Kinner but it was just too disjointed and messy so I gave up on it after 30 minutes and deleted it from my pvr!

On Fridays to compete against Hannibal? Haha wow. They definitely want it to die. Good riddance too. Watched one ep for a guest star (Denis O'Hare) and couldn't believe how poorly it handled everything. Nearly ignored the most interesting storyline (that of a cannibal who had permission to eat someone) to focus on... Keegan's gambling debts. Yup, great drama there.

Horrible show. Not original in any way.

This show is based on the original Australian version which is airing it's 3rd season now. The US version borrows heavily on episode plots from the Aussie version. It's a nice effort but I figured it would fizzle out. They just seem to fail here in the US when they follow even remotely close to the foreign versions.

I agree this is definitely not a good sign for a show, but Supernatural was moved to Fridays for a while and was just renewed for another season. Maybe there's still a chance...?
