A legal drama following a defense lawyer with a chaotic life.
Keegan Deane is a criminal defense lawyer whose life is a bit of a mess. His ex-wife thinks he's unreliable, judges call him an outrage, the IRS knows him as a defendant, and his colleagues think he can be a general pain in the ass.
On the bright side, he is also brilliant, charming, and possesses a lack of discretion that helps him land cases nobody else wants.

Y'all should watch the Australian version - of which I believe this version is based from/off. Slightly different legal system and slang words (of which I'm sure google can easily solve), plus it has excellent story lines and acting. A wonderful, quirky show, with Greg Kinnear absolutely nailing the part. It's incredibly sad that it's getting canned. Sounds like many people recorded the show because of terrible timeslots - do the viewership numbers take into account recordings as well? I think Fox had gold but treated it like lead, then blamed the gold for not shining.

An edgy, smart comedy…and why would you cancel such an imaginative, adult show? PLEASE keep Rake….I hate the dumbed down shows on the networks. LOVE this show@
